No. Posting a job and receiving quotes is free, and you're never obliged to accept one.
How does the deposit work?
When you accept a quote, you pay the deposit to Fettld. We hold it while the work is done and release it to the tradesperson only when you confirm that stage is complete. If you can't agree, open a case in the Resolution Centre and our team will review it.
How do you check tradespeople?
Everyone completes a photo ID check. Limited companies are matched against Companies House, and trade certificates and insurance are reviewed by our team before they appear as verified.
Can I talk to a tradesperson before accepting?
Yes. You can message any tradesperson who quotes, share more photos and ask questions. Keeping the conversation in Fettld means everything agreed is on record if you ever need it.
What if something goes wrong?
Open a case from the job. Our support team can see the quote, messages and photos, can join the conversation, and decides what happens to any money still held.
